Yes! Many families, including mine, have completed the Healthy Challenge with great success. The program is flexible enough to adapt to family needs and can be done at your own pace. Children may need some adjustments to fit their taste preferences, but many families find that they are able to do the challenge together. For example, we included black beans, quinoa, and almonds in our program to make it more doable for our busy family of five. The key is consistency and tracking your family’s progress to make sure everyone feels good during the process.

5. How long will it take to see results?

You may start to notice changes in how you feel within a few weeks of starting the Healthy Challenge. However, for the best results, we recommend following the full 3-month program to ensure that you’ve eliminated all potential inflammatory triggers and given your body time to heal. Some people feel improvements in energy, digestion, and mood within the first 30 days, while others might take a bit longer. Patience and consistency are key!

6. Do I need to take supplements or vitamins during the challenge?

8. What foods do I need to avoid during the Healthy Challenge?

During the first phase of the Healthy Challenge, you will eliminate foods that are commonly associated with inflammation. These include:

  • Grains (of course gluten)
  • Dairy
  • Eggs
  • Soy
  • Legumes
  • Nightshades (tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, etc.)
  • Refined sugars and sweeteners
  • Processed oils (vegetable oil, canola oil, etc.)
  • Alcohol

You will also avoid processed and packaged foods that contain additives, preservatives, or artificial ingredients.

9. How do I know which foods I can reintroduce after the elimination phase?

After the first 3 weeks of the challenge, you will begin the reintroduction phase. This involves adding one food back into your diet every 2 days and tracking how your body reacts. You will keep a detailed food journal to monitor any symptoms, like bloating, headaches, or joint pain, to see how the food affects you. Based on how you feel, you’ll decide if that food is something you can tolerate regularly or if it’s best to avoid it.
